Dolphins are used in all spheres of human life. They perform in dolphinariums, they are used with military purposes and the dolphin therapy is able to treat any diseases both mental and physical.
So cinematography couldn't leave alone these creatures and forget about their deeds during storms when they saved people and helped children. That is why many directors turned dolphins into real heroes.
In 1963 the serial "Flipper" was released that became popular all over the world. This film described the life of dolphins in the society. This film tells us about the friendship between two boys and a dolphin.
This film had so much success that in 1996 the second part of the film was released that described the events that took place in the first part and some details of shooting the film.
Later the same dolphin that was acting in these two films, took part in the scientific program in 90-s of the past century, where the dolphin tried to communicate with people using the voice decoder. This decoder was changing the language of the dolphin in English language and vice versa.
But the most famous film about dolphins is the film "Free Willy" that made the dolphin Keiko popular in the whole world.
But dolphins were also depicted as negative characters in such films as "Orca", in which the male-dolphin takes vengeance on the fisherman who killed its female-dolphin, and "The Day of the Dolphin" that describes the dark role of dolphins trained for acts of terrorism.
These films made dolphins extremely popular in the whole world and thousands of dolphinariums were created.
